Hernando de Soto Tiffany Window Cartoon, c. July 23, 1930
This color cartoon, for the top medallion of the Spanish Discovery Window at the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, depicts Hernando de Soto as the first European to discover the Mississippi River in 1539. In the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, the Spanish Discovery Window is Clerestory Window #3. Handwritten notes appear around the perimeter of the cartoon.
