The Griffin Tiffany Window Cartoon, c. September 17, 1930
This color cartoon, for the first medallion of the French Discovery Window at the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, depicts The Griffin, the ship of French explorer Rene-Robert de La Salle, the first European ship to sail the Great Lakes. In the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, the French Discovery Window is Clerestory Window #4. Handwritten notes appear around the perimeter of the cartoon.
