SAEs in World War I: A Fraternity Dedicated to Service
At least nine, SAE servicemen returned home in June 1919 on the U.S.S. Leviathan. Lt. Deloss Grant, Indiana Gamma, was assigned to the ship and is pictured here. Others might be Paul Sutton, Oklahoma Kappa; Harry Robb, Illinois Delta; Louis W. Mack and L.H. Kelley, Illinois Beta; Payson L. Nusbaum, Wayne L. Allen, and Romney D. Strickler, Illinois Psi-Omega; and Harvey Goodrow, Wisconsin Phi.
