Surrender of Cornwallis Tiffany Window Cartoon, c. August 16, 1930
This color cartoon, for the fourth medallion of the Revolutionary Window at the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, depicts a Philadelphia watchman announcing the surrender of General Cornwallis at Yorktown on October 19, 1781. In the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, the Revolutionary Window is Clerestory Window #6 and is the first window west on the south side of the chapel. Handwritten notes appear around the perimeter of the cartoon.
