Erik the Red at Greenland Tiffany Window Cartoon, c. July 23, 1930
This color cartoon, for the fourth medallion of the Viking Window at the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, depicts the ship of Erik the Red arriving in Greenland in 986 CE. In the Levere Memorial Temple Chapel, the Viking Window is Clerestory Window #2. The back of the drawing shows an early drawing for the American Doughboy who serves as the central figure of the World War Window. Handwritten notes appear around the perimeter of the cartoon.
